The main entrance
to the Sanctuary
is on the West Causeway Approach
in Mandeville, Louisiana. It is a very
desirable location, with its close proximity
to the Causeway Bridge.
One of the most important features
of the site are the pine and hardwood forests.
Of utmost concern from both an
environmental and marketing viewpoint
has been the preservation of trees. |
Tree preservation starts with the
planning process
Lot sizes and set back requirements which allow for adequate
green space.
20' to 40' side set backs are required depending on the lot size.
Clearing of the set back areas is not allowed.
The construction of driveways or fences within the
side set back areas is also prohibited.
